Excitement builds for world congress
The countdown has started for one of the biggest neurorehabilitation events on the planet, which will see brain injury professionals from across the world gather to discuss key issues in the sector.
Later this year, professionals working with people with brain injuries in the UK will be able to apply online for tickets to the World Federation of Neurorehabilitation’s (WFNR) Biennial Congress in Melbourne.
While online registration for next year’s event opens in November, the deadline for calls for papers and symposia ahead of the event is 14 October.
Topics on the agenda at the congress, which runs from 16 to 19 May, include traumatic brain injury cognitive rehabilitation for children, spinal innovations robotics and spinal chord injury neurooncology.
Among the keynote speakers at the event is Dr Maurizio Corbetta, the Norman J.
Stupp professor of neurology, radiology and anatomy and neurobiology at the Washington University School of Medicine in Saint Louis, USA.
Also on the bill is Professor Bruce Dobkin from the University of California – who is the editor of the WFNR’s official journal – as well as top luminaries Dr Robert Teasall, Professor Randolph Nudo and Dr Tessa Hart amongst other world-renowned experts.
