Applications process opens for industry awards
Awards recognising the most inspiring and innovative professionals and organisations working with people with acquired brain injuries are now open to applications.
Entrants have until 30 September to put forward their applications for The United Kingdom Acquired Brain Injury Forum (UKABIF) Awards for Innovation and Inspiration 2011.
The aim of the awards is to acknowledge the good work which is being done in the field of acquired brain injury and reward those who excel in their practice. Due to the variety of professions in the sector the awards have been divided into a number of categories which cover innovation by lawyer, clinicians, care providers, social care workers, education professionals and voluntary bodies among other disciplines.
There is also the special Stephen McAleese Award category for Inspiration by an individual in the field of acquired brain injury. Nominations may be made by those involved in or benefiting from a project or piece of work. The awards will be presented at the UKABIF Annual Conference which takes place on 10th November 2011 at The National Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham. Full details about the awards and the conference are available on our website, www.huntersmoor.com.
