Clients and Carers - Why choose Hunters Moor?
At Hunters Moor, we appreciate that choosing provision of care for an individual with a brain injury can be a difficult and bewildering task. From the very first time we are contacted, we aim to offer an unrivalled level of service and care.
Quality of Service
The safety of our clients and the quality of our treatment is of paramount importance to everyone at Hunters Moor. Our highly specialist, dedicated and experienced team led by internationally renowned Professor Mike Barnes, uses the latest equipment and therapies to deliver the very best in client care.
We adopt an interdisciplinary approach to treat a wide range of neurological disorders and injuries. This approach involves several specialists from different professions working together to design and deliver a uniquely personal treatment programme.
At the start of treatment, each client is set appropriate goals, based on their own individual aims. This ensures that every member of the team involved in caring for the individual is working towards the same goals.
We are experienced in helping people with particularly complex needs and with varying levels of dependence. Whatever challenges an individual is facing, Hunters Moor will always strive to achieve their full potential.
Communication
We fully understand the importance of clear and honest communication with our Clients and their families. A key worker is appointed to each Client and their role is to facilitate communication with families and carers, regularly update everyone with progress and make sure all the relevant people are involved in the goal setting process.
Professor Barnes personally oversees treatment programmes to make sure that they are at all times realistic and achievable.
Rapid assessment
Every piece of research which has ever been published agrees that the sooner rehabilitation begins the more effective it will be, so we will always assess and begin treatment as quickly as possible.
